Mount Etna and Mount Sinabung erupt, spewing ash and lava into the sky

Italy's Mount Etna and Mount Sinabung in Indonesia have both erupted, spewing ash and lava into the sky while showering volcanic debris on surrounding areas.
Monday's volcanic eruption in Indonesia brought more strife to those in the area surrounding Mount Sinabung, which has been erupting off-and-on since September.
The latest eruptions, which reached as high as 6,500 feet, forced about 15,000 people to evacuate 17 villages.
Mount Etna, Europe's most active volcano, showered volcanic ash on towns along the mountain's slopes and on Saturday, although none were forced to evacuate. Etna's last major eruption happened in 1992.
